Season passes are sold out, however in Lot 1 and Lot 4 there are a few spaces that will be available on a first come, first served basis each game day Saturday for Furman and FSU.
We open at 9am and you can swing by and pay for your spot early (subject to availability) if you aren’t quite ready to park.
Drive north from university avenue up 19th street and see what’s available!
Go Gators!
Far and away the biggest hassle with tailgating seems to be figuring out how to power your setup. Many people bring noisy generators that have to be gassed up, or hook up inverters to their car battery and then spend all day nervously making sure the car will have enough juice to start after the game. There must be a better way! Well, there is.
Starting this fall, I will start offering dedicated electrical power to some of my tailgating spaces in lot 4. A dedicated, exterior GFI protected, 20amp circuit runs underground to a double outlet, which is then split between your the spot next to you and you (you use one outlet, they use the other). That gives you 10amps of power for your tailgate — plenty enough to power lighting, television, fans, even a blender if you’re mixing up cocktails for your guests. You just bring the extension cord and power strip, and use your imagination!
For those interested in getting one of these spots, please select a spot on the lot 4 page or give me a call for more information.
I’ve just opened up Lot 5, which will be reserveable for the season this fall. In the past I sold it on a game-by-game basis and noticed that many of the same people parked there every game. Unfortunately, what often happened is that many people would find the lot the first game, come back the second game and think “this is great!” and then the third game the lot would be full by the time they got there and they’d have to go elsewhere. By reserving a space for the whole season, you can forget about hunting for parking.
This lot is perfect for people who tend to come close to kick-off and get frustrated when there is no parking near the stadium. It’s also ideal for groups who tend to want to park near their buddies and go to the game and/or leave the game together.
Since Lot 5 is a few blocks further away than the other lots and does not have the same tailgating amenities as the other lots (no bathrooms, the lot won’t be open until a few hours before kickoff, etc) I’m setting the price to be the lowest of any of the lots.

Enjoy and Go Gators!

If you are an advertiser looking to promote a brand/product to 100,000 football fans, or you are a company looking to reward customers or employees by throwing fantastic tailgates, contact Gator Parking. Top brands (particularly alcoholic beverage brands that cannot advertise on UF campus) as well as private organizations have used my tailgating spaces for all kinds of events, and I work with event organizers closely to ensure success. Here are a few examples:
- Jim Beam Tailgate Party at Gator Parking Lot 1
- The Miller Bus Arrives at 8am sharp!
- Setting Up the Miller Bus Tailgate Event
- Corporate Event Tailgate
- Private Insurance Company Event
- Mike’s Hard Lemonade Party Setting Up
- Jim Beam Party Promoting Red Stag
I’ve been getting questions regarding Parking and Tailgating for the Orange and Blue game so I thought I’d provide some common answers for everyone.
- What’s parking look like for the O&B game? About 45-55,000 fans come to watch the gators play in the spring game so overall there’s much less congestion around the stadium. That said, fewer people sell parking for this game so supply is also limited. You can certainly find a space for free within a mile of the stadium, and if you are looking to park within a few blocks you should be able to find space usually for $10-20.
- And tailgating? Unfortunately, not many people tailgate for the spring game, which is a shame because the weather is usually great and the Gators always win! It probably has more to do with the start time than anything else — the 2011 O&B game kickoff will be at noon. Other years it’s been 1pm, but this year for the first time the game is also on live TV (SUN Sports) so that may have affected kickoff time. Over at our lots, some of our reservation holders still tailgate, so if you come to any of our tailgating lots you can get a decent picture of what it’s like during the season.
- How do you get tickets? Just get them at the gate, tickets are $5 and seats are first come first served. You CAN order them online at www.GatorZone.com/tickets but the game never sells out.
- Where should I park for the O&B Game? With us, of course! Most of our regular season parkers don’t come to this game so all available spaces are on a first come, first served basis until we fill up. Easiest way to find us is to drive up 19th St. (which is right across from the stadium) from University Ave and look for the NO BLOCK PARKING signs.
This game will be a great way to bring in the Muschamp Era and will be especially exciting as Spring practices have been closed to fans and the media up until this point. What will they have to show us? Be the first to find out!
Wow! What a season 2010 was. More on that later, as this post is to let folks know what we have in store for 2011.
To all reservation holders for the 2010 season, thank you for parking and tailgating with us! I hope you had a great time and are looking forward to next year. I will be sending out renewal letters prior to the 2011 Orange and Blue game, so please contact me if you haven’t gotten a letter by then. All season reservation holders for 2010 get first opportunity to renew before I’ll let someone else take your spot.
To anyone interested in reserving for the 2011 season, please contact me to be placed on the waiting list for next year. Then as soon as spaces become available I will contact you and help you find the perfect tailgating and parking space.
Who would have thought South Carolina would have been the must-win team to beat to make it to the SEC? And what a beautiful day to tailgate it was, despite the unfortunate outcome. The more I tailgate before games, the more I feel tailgating is the meat and potatoes of game day, and the game itself is just the dessert.
Thanks for a great 2010 tailgating season and I hope to see you next year!

The times for the last two Gator home football games have been announced. South Carolina will be playing at 7:15pm at Florida Field on November 13th, and App. State will be at 12:30pm the following weekend (November 20th).
This image shows RV parking at the Florida Georgia game. This is what we DON’T do. I have had a lot of requests from folks who would like to park RVs on my lots and unfortunately I have to turn most of them down. This is because the Gatorparking lots are primarily designed for individual automobile parking and RVs are more complicated to handle and often the drivers and passengers have different needs I’m not prepared to offer. As a result, I have very few RV parking spaces and have to impose the same requirements on RV parking as I do for the rest of my customers. Additionally, I have to stress that an RV takes up quite a few automobile parking spaces (they usually have to park sideways) and so they cost far more to park.
So if you’d like to contact me to see if you can park an RV in one of my lots, please be aware that:
- If you are looking for an RV spot for the season, contact me in early summer as my RV spots get taken quickly.
- I don’t allow overnight parking on any of my lots. If you are coming in Friday (or thursday on homecoming weekend) and looking for a place to park, I’d suggest one of UFs first come, first served RV lots on campus. More information can be found here .
- My RV parking is designed to be easy to get in and easy to get out, however it is NOT guaranteed that you won’t have to wait for a car to move to get out. I designed my lots so that cars can leave whenever they want, but a 43′ RV has a very different turning radius.
- Generally it’s not worthwhile to sell an RV spot for a single game and like I said, my season RV spaces go quickly early in the year, however for a slow game I may be able to fit you in somewhere. It never hurts to give me a call at 352-275-9555.
- I have no hookups of any sort for RVs.
Thanks for understanding, RVers! I know taking an RV to the game is a fun way to tailgate, but I’m just not set up for it to be my primary business so I have to turn most folks away. As an alternative, I’ll again suggest parking on campus (click here for info) or looking on gainesville craigslist for a renter who’d rather fill his whole front yard with one RV than stand outside with a sign for hours and miss valuable drinking time.
I have been meaning to upload a whole bunch of tailgating pictures for each of the lots and apologize it’s been taking so long. We moved to a new, faster, (hopefully) more reliable web host but I haven’t gotten the picture uploader working completely.
So in the meantime, here are a few unsorted tailgating pictures. Notice how in Lot 1, you can get your car, tv, tent, chairs, food, generator, and even a few fans (the heat those first few games was BRUTAL) and put it all in your tailgating spot. Nice!
Look how much fun we’re all having! Don’t you want to join? Just give a call (352-275-9555) or reserve a spot online…
Lots 2 and 3 filled much faster than expected, so I’ve decided to open lot 4 this year. I had anticipated opening lot 4 next year but realized I needed to get it ready more quickly. So if you choose lot 4, you’ll be tailgating on freshly planted sod!
More pictures of lot 4 are coming soon, since this is the newest tailgating lot I don’t have any tailgating pictures to show, but I will after September 4th!
This lot is a little less than a block north of Lot 1. Notice the tree canopy, there are 4 mature oak trees on the property that offer a whole lot of shade.
